UPON ENTRY OF VEHICLE FOR THE FIRST TIME OF THE DAY, I DISCOVERED A 5-6 IN. CRACK IN WINDSHIELD. I HAD NOT OBSERVED ANY IMPACTS WHILE DRIVING THE DAY PRIOR. THE VEHICLE WAS ONLY 2 MONTHS OLD AT THE TIME. ALL OTHER AUTO GLASS ISSUES PREVIOUSLY WERE OBSERVED AND OBVIOUS. HAVING REVIEWED SIMILAR STORIES AND PICTURES ONLINE OF ISSUES WITH THE WINDSHIELD OF THIS MODEL AND YEAR THE VEHICLE, I AM CONCERNED THAT THE ISSUE IS MORE THAN COINCIDENCE. *TR

LARGE CRACK IN WINDSHIELD ON PASSENGER SIDE EXTENDING OVER 15 INCHES ACROSS. SUBARU DEALER SAYS IT'S NOT COVERED UNDER THE EXTENDED WARRANTY. THEY SAY IT WAS CAUSED BY A MICROSCOPIC SIZE CHIP. REPORTING BECAUSE I SEE ONLINE THAT THIS IS A VERY COMMON OCCURRENCE WITH THIS MAKE AND YEAR. JUST CAME DOWN ONE MORNING AND THE HUGE CRACK WAS THERE. CAR WAS STATIONARY IN LOT. NO SIGNS OF VANDALISM. NO EVIDENT CHIPS BEFORE CRACK APPEARED.

2015 SUBARU OUTBACK WITH EYESIGHT TECHNOLOGY. HAD VEHICLE LESS THAN 2 MONTHS, SITTING IN DRIVEWAY, NEXT AM NOTED LARGE CRACK IN WINDSHIELD BEGINNING IN PASSENGER LOWER CORNER AND TRAVELING DIAGONALLY UP TOWARDS CENTER OF WINDSHIELD. NO TRAUMA NOTED TO WINDSHIELD WHILE DRIVING (NO ROCKS, ETC). SEEMED TO HAVE BROKEN SPONTANEOUSLY. MADE INSURANCE CLAIM 4/12/15. UNABLE TO GET NEW WINDSHIELD AS SUCH A LARGE BACKORDER OF THESE WINDSHIELDS FOR SAME REASON AND IN SAME LOCATION. STILL WAITING WITH NO END IN SIGHT. ON-LINE THREADS INDICATE THIS IS AN ONGOING ISSUE THAT HAS YET TO GENERATE A RECALL.

TWICE IN SNOWING CONDITION , THE WINDSHIELD ICED AT THE BOTTOM AND DID NOT CLEAR EVEN THOUGH THE DEFROSTER HAD BEEN ON. WE WERE NOT ABLE TO COMPLETE OUR JOURNEY. EVEN THOUGH WE STOPPED EVERY TEN MINUTES OR LESS TO SCRAPE THE WINDSHIELD CLEAR. I'VE HAD MANY CARS IN MANY CONDITIONS AND NEVER SAW THIS LACK OF VISIBILITY. IT TOOK 4 HOURS ON ROUTE 270 FROM FREDRICK TO GO 20 MILES OUT AND RETURN. VERY SCARY.

NOTICED A CRACK IN THE WINDSHIELD ON 8/27/15. IT EXTENDED FROM UNDER THE RIGHT WINDSHIELD WIPER TOWARDS THE CENTER OF THE WINDSHIELD ABOUT 18 INCHES LONG. I COULD NOT THINK OF AN OBJECT HAVING HIT THE WINDSHIELD, THEN RECALLED DRIVING DOWN THE STREET EARLIER AT ABOUT 30 MPH. I HAD HEARD A LOUD POP SOUND, BUT THOUGHT IT WAS COMING FROM UNDER THE CHASIS, LIKE THE SOUND OF A ROCK FLYING UP FROM A TIRE AND HITTING UNDERNEATH. IN RETROSPECT THIS WAS PROBABLY WHEN THE WINDSHIELD CRACKED. ONLINE RESEARCH I DID EARLIER SHOWED HUNDREDS OF COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE WINDSHIELDS ON THE 2015 OUTBACKS CRACKING EASILY, MANY OF WHICH DID NOT INVOLVE OBJECTS HITTING THE CAR. I FOUND SEVERAL SITES OF SIMILAR COMPLAINTS, WITH THE LINKS OF 1 BELOW. I BROUGHT THE CAR INTO THE DEALER THE NEXT DAY AND EXPLAINED THAT THE WINDSHIELD HAD SPONTANEOUSLY CRACKED. THEY INITIALLY TOLD ME THAT MY CRACK APPEARED TO HAVE BEEN CAUSED BY AN OBJECT AND NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. I ASKED THEM TO EXPLAIN HOW AN OBJECT COULD POSSIBLY HAVE HIT THE GLASS AND NOT DAMAGED THE WIPER, WHICH WAS FULLY INTACT. THEY SAID: "THE WIPER BLADE MUST HAVE BEEN MOVING WHEN A ROCK STRUCK WINDSHIELD". I SAID NO, THE WIPER BLADES HAVE NOT BEEN

WENT TO PICK UP MY BRAND NEW 2015 OUTBACK FROM THE DEALER AND THEY INFORMED ME THE WINDSHIELD WAS CRACKED. THEY WILL BE REPLACING IT, BUT THIS CRACK IS IDENTICAL TO OTHERS DESCRIBED IN MANY COMPLAINTS. CRACK STARTED IN THE HEATED WIPER ELEMENT ON THE PASSENGER SIDE AND IS NOW ABOUT 12 INCHES IN LENGTH. SUBARU DEALER SAID THEY BELIEVE IT OCCURRED IN THEIR CAR WASH. LOOKING AT OTHER COMPLAINTS, IT IS NOW OBVIOUS SUBARU 2015 OUTBACK WINDSHIELDS HAVE A DESIGN FLAW THAT SHOULD BE ADDRESSED ASAP.

OUR SUBARU OUTBACK WAS IMPACTED BY A SMALL PEBBLE THAT CRACKED OUR WINDSHIELD. I PUT IN A CLAIM WITH OUR INSURANCE COMPANY IMMEDIATELY AND SETUP A REPLACEMENT WITH SAFELITE. GOT A CALL LATER INDICATING THAT THE PART IS NOT IN STOCK AND NEEDS TO BE ORDERED. THAT WAS 4 WEEKS AGO AT THIS POINT AND STILL NO INDICATION OF WHEN THIS WILL BE RESOLVED. THE CRACKS CONTINUE TO SPREAD AND NOW IS A SAFETY ISSUE SINCE THE CRACKS ARE IN THE DRIVER'S LINE OF SIGHT. I (AND I ASSUME MANY OTHER PEOPLE) HAVE TRIED CONTACTING SUBARU AND I FOR ONE AM NOT GETTING ANY RESPONSE FROM THEM ON THIS ISSUE THUS WE NEED TO CONTINUE DRIVING AN UNSAFE CAR DUE TO THE FACT WE DO NOT HAVE THE MONEY TO HAVE A RENTAL AND AGAIN BECAUSE NO ONE CAN PROVIDE AN ETA WE WOULDN'T KNOW HOW LONG WE'D NEED ONE ASSUMING WE COULD GET ONE. BASED ON WHAT I READ HERE THIS COULD HAPPEN AGAIN WITHIN A SHORT TIME ONCE WE DO GET THE WINDSHIELD REPLACED. SOME TYPE OF INVESTIGATION NEEDS TO BE CONDUCTED AND A RECALL ISSUED. I THINK THERE IS ENOUGH EVIDENCE TO SHOW THERE IS SOME KIND OF DEFECT WITH THE WINDSHIELDS OF THIS CAR AND WHEN SAFETY IS THREATENED, STEPS SHOULD BE TAKEN TO PROTECT US. I am on my 3rd battery since May 2015 when the Outback was purchased in El Cajon, California. There have been multiple instances when I prepare to venture out and am unable to as the result of a dead battery. In every instance there was not an obvious instigating factor such as a light inadvertently left on. This situation is extremely disruptive resulting in my belief that I have an unreliable vehicle that has caused me to miss appointments and meetings. There is also a significant monetary loss in that this is a known and well- publicized issue that will render me unable to recoup market value upon sale of the vehicle. '

BATTERY DISCHARGING/NOT PROPERLY CHARGING. REPLACED WITH NEW BATTERY IN 2017 AT DEALER'S RECOMMENDATION. NEW BATTERY CONTINUES TO NOT STORE CHARGE/DISCHARGE, INCLUDING WHEN THE CAR IS PARKED AT A STORE OR A PARKING FOR BRIEF PERIODS OF TIME. THIS POSES SERIOUS SAFETY CONCERNS, AS I HAVE NO IDEA WHEN AND WHERE MY CAR WOULD NOT START. THIS HAS OCCURRED IN EXCESS OF 20 TIMES IN THE LAST 3 YEARS, AND I AM FORCED TO FREQUENTLY REPLACE THE BATTERY AND TO ALWAYS HAVE A JUMP STARTER IN THE CAR.

MY CAR HAS A DEAD BATTERY. I JUST REPLACED THE BATTERY IN NOVEMBER 2018 AND IT IS ALREADY DEAD. THIS ALSO HAPPENED IN NOVEMBER 2018 AND WHEN I BROUGHT IT TO THE DEALER THEY SAID EVERYTHING WAS FINE WITH THE BATTERY AND THEY COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG. THE CAR RUNS FOR A FEW DAYS AND THEN THE CAR BATTERY DIES AGAIN. I HAVE THE BATTERY SWAPPED OUT FOR ONE WITH A HIGHER CCA. THIS BATTERY I BOUGHT IN NOVEMBER 2018 HAS NO POWER AS OF FEBRUARY 2020 WHICH IS TOO SHORT OF A LIFESPAN. THERE MUST BE SOMETHING IN THE CAR DRAINING THE BATTERY AND SUBARU DOES NOT WANT TO FIX IT.

Battery fails repeatedly even after several battery replacements and dealer fixing the software at a hefty cost, presumable to make sure the battery is charging. My insurance company (State Farm) dropped my roadside assistance coverage after repeated requests to get help to start the car. I continuously dread and fear that the car will not start after a drive to the grocery store. I dear not think about using the car to take a trip away from home. I bought jump starters and now take one with me every time I consider driving this car. God forbid it drains outs before I get back to the house to recharge it, which has happened and ended up bigging a stranger to jump start my car. It is a shame that this reputable company can sell a car that has this problem, that could be easily fixed which seems to be not a problem for other manufacturers.

The contact attempted to jump start the battery with a battery charger however, the failure persisted. The contact stated that the battery would drain periodically. The contact stated that the battery had been replaced four times in a six-year period. The local dealer was made aware of the failure but informed the contact that the next available appointment was on the 29th of May. The contact replaced the battery himself. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 47,784.

On multiple occassions, I have been unable to start my Outback b/c the battery is dead. Note that I have not left any lights on, doors open etc. and, when I have taken my car in for routine services, the battery is deemed to be in proper working condition. In addition to being extremely inconvenient when I cannot use my car as needed, this is a safety issue. What if I was not in a safe location when my car wouldn't start? What if I needed to use my car to get a pet to urgent medical care? When I purchased my Outback, I was confident in the Subaru brand for reliability. However, it no longer consider my Outback, or Subaru as a brand, reliable when I can't count on my car starting when I need it to. The date I provided in the additional details of this form is just the latest incident. I purchased this car in 2015 and my battery has been drained more than 5 times.

I WAS FORCED TO REPLACE A 2ND FAILED WHEEL BEARING (LEFT FRONT WHEEL) ON MY 2015 SUBARU OUTBACK 4CYL. LIMITED AFTER 35270 MILES TODAY 29JULY2016. THE FIRST FAILED WHEEL BEARING TO BE REPLACED OCCURRED ON 15JANUARY2016 INVOLVING THE LEFT REAR WHEEL. I EXPLAINED TO THEM THAT THIS WAS HAPPENING WAY BEFORE THE 80,000 MILES, BUT THEY REFUSED TO COVER IT UNDER WARRANTY. ON 4/19/2015 WAS DRIVING AT 40 MILES PER HOUR IN A HEAVY RAIN STORM (I-75) IN GEORGIA A CRACK DEVELOPED IN THE WINDSHIELD. WE COULD NOT IDENTIFY A SOURCE OF IMPACT TO THE WINDSHIELD. THE CRACK STARTED AT THE VERY BOTTOM CENTER OF THE WINDSHIELD. THE CRACK THEN SPLIT INTO A "Y" SHAPE AND CONTINUED OVER THE NEXT SEVERAL DAYS. WE TRIED TO GET A NEW WINDSHIELD IN SARASOTA, FL OUR FIRST DESTINATION. LOCAL AUTO GLASS COMPANY RECOMMENDED BY SARASOTA SUBARU DEALER ATTEMPTED TO ORDER ONE TO REPLACE DURING OUR WEEK IN TOWN. I LOOKED AROUND AND DIDN'T SEE ANYTHING. ABOUT 30 MINUTES AGO, MY HUSBAND AND I WENT TO PICK UP THE GRANDKIDS AND MY HUSBAND SAID, "HOW DID THE WINDSHIELD GET CRACKED? HE WAS RIGHT IT WAS CRACKED RIGHT AT THE REARVIEW MIRROR. I CALL THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT OF THE SALES COMPANY AND THEY SAID I WILL HAVE TO COME WHEN A SUBARU REP IS IN THE STORE AND HE WILL TELL WHETHER IT WAS DEFECTIVE MATERIAL. IT HAS TO BE A DEFECT, I WAS SITTING STILL AND IT JUST CRACKED. IT WAS NOT HIT BY ANYTHING, AND THERE ARE NO INDENTS WHERE IT WAS HIT.

AFTER MOVING VEHICLE IN REVERSE, THEN SHIFTING INTO DRIVE, THE TRANSMISSION REMAINS IN NEUTRAL UNTIL THE ACCELERATOR IS DEPRESSED ALLOWING CAR TO ROLL BACKWARD IF ON AN INCLINE. THERE IS THEN A SURGE FORWARD WHEN IT DOES ENGAGE. ALSO, ON A COLD START WHEN TEMP. IS BELOW 0 TRANS WILL STAY 1-2 GEARS LOWER THAN IT SHOULD FOR > 5 MILES ALLOWING FOR EXCESSIVE ENGINE RPMS. After a transmission replacement performed by Bud Clary Chevrolet, Inc. in Longview, WA on September 9, 2025, my vehicle was returned to me with critical components left unsecured. On November 19, 2025, an independent mechanic discovered loose suspension bolts connecting the ball joints to the spindles on both front wheels. On November 29, 2025, Subaru of Portland documented additional unsecured and unattached components related to the prior transmission replacement, including loose mounting hardware and a disconnected PCV hose. Subaru of Portland’s written inspection states that the loose bolts would have been unsafe if left uncorrected. These conditions were present after a major repair and created a potential safety hazard while the vehicle was being driven. This complaint concerns an unsafe condition caused by improper workmanship during a vehicle repair.

The contact owned a 2015 Subaru Outback. The contact stated that while driving at 60 MPH, he was alerted by another driver that the vehicle was smoking and flames were coming from under the vehicle. The contact stated that warning lights flashed off and on. The contact stated that he pulled over, exited the vehicle, and saw flames coming from underneath the vehicle before it was engulfed in flames and exploded. The contact stated that he sustained minor burns on his hands from the steering wheel however, medical attention was not required. The fire was extinguished by the fire department. A fire department report was filed. The vehicle was towed to a junkyard as it was deemed a total loss. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and a field technician was sent to retrieve information from the EDR. The contact was not aware of the diagnosis. DEAR SIR, ON FEBRUARY 11,2015 WE PURCHASED A NEW 2015 OUTBACK 2.5 PREMIUM AT SELLER DEALER 400106 VIN [XXX] AND THE ODOMETER READING WAS 10 MILES. THIS WAS OUR DREAM CAR THAT WE SAVED FOR A FEW YEARS TO FINALLY PURCHASE. IT DEVELOPED AN ENGINE KNOCKING NOISE AT ONLY 1000 MILES ON THE ODOMETER. SO I TOOK IT TO THE SUBARU DEALER FOR EVALUATION ON 3/18/15 AND AFTER 2 DAYS THERE THEY DETERMINED THAT THE ENGINE HAD A PROBLEM AND WOULD HAVE TO BE REPLACED ACCORDING TO SUBARU EXPERTS. I REALLY RESPECT SUBARU??S AND THEIR HISTORY, BUT WE NO LONGER CONSIDER THIS ONE OUR DREAM CAR. IF THE POWER PLANT IS FAULTY WE WONDER WHAT ELSE IS GOING TO GO WRONG WITH IT. MY FAMILY WILL NO LONGER FEEL SAFE. THOUGH THE CAR MAY OR MAY NOT FALL UNDER THE SONG-BEVERLY CONSUMER WARRANTY ACT WE WANT A REPLACEMENT FOR THE SAME TYPE VEHICLE, NOTHING MORE AND NOTHING LESS. The cam carrier has a leak that is causing oil to slowly leak out of the car. The current issue is causing me to have to regularly add oil to the car. My safety is at risk as the car engine could fail while driving which would be me and others at risk. My understanding is that the leaking oil could also cause other parts to fail such as the O2 sensor. The recommended repair from the local Subaru dealer is to reseal the cam carrier at an estimated cost of $4,744. I attempted to contact Subaru after reading that many others have had this same issue and some have received monetary compensation to get the repair completed after complaining. Subaru has been very difficult to get in touch with and doesn't seem to want to respond to the issue. The only warning I have had was the oil engine light coming on multiple times to which I proceeded to add oil to the car.

WE NOTICED AN EXHAUST LEAK (NOISY) ON OUR 2015 OUTBACK, UPON INSPECTION BY THE DEALER THEY DETERMINED THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER NEEDED TO BE REPLACED, THEY INITIALLY REJECTED OUR WARANTEE CLAIM BECAUSE SUBARU AUTHORIZES REPLACEMENT ONLY IF A MIL IS PRESENT. AFTER SOME DISCUSSION THE DEALER (SUBARU) AGREED TO REPLACE AS "GOOD WILL". WE LIVE IN THE NORTHEAST AND IT SEEMS ROAD SALT AND SAND CAUSE THE CONVERTER TO RUST PREMATURELY, THE LOCATION OF THE CONVERTED IS AFT OF THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD AND AT THE BASE OF THE PASSENGER COMPARTMENT, THERE IS A RISK OF CARBON MONOXIDE POISONING WITH THESE TYPES OF LEAKS, AND IT IS UNHEARD OF THAT THESE PARTS FAIL AFTER THREE YEARS.

The car had a recall on it for the catalytic converter and front pipe and bellows being cracked. It was replaced under a service bulletin put out by Subaru at 104,000 miles in 2020. I just went to get the vehicle inspected in 5/2023 and the exact same part is failing once again. It will not pass inspection. This causes exhaust to leak back into the car (including carbon monoxide) given the converter/bellows are parts that come off the engine right under the driver/passenger's front seat. I have called corporate Subaru to see what could be done and they refuse to do anything since they told me the car is a 2015 and had 167,000+ miles. At this point, it will cost me a few thousand dollars to fix at which point has to be done by Subaru and they will replace it with the exact same parts that have proven time and time again to be a poor design and fail. Or I can take it to an exhaust specialist to be fixed.

On 8/25/21, during servicing, I was informed by the Subaru dealer who has always serviced my car that the driver's side head gasket was starting to go bad. The car had 54,108 miles on it and was 6 years and 5 months old. It had always been driven under normal conditions, on public roads, and 100% of the servicing had been performed by the Subaru dealer who sold me the car, which I bought new. In addition, I had never used the car for towing. Under the circumstances, it seemed indefensible that the head gasket should be going bad. It's a very expensive repair. The engine in question is the 3.6-liter 6-cylinder.

The issue below has occurred previously and was addressed by a completed recall "EPB Reprogramming" - WTB63. However, issue has reappeared. Issue: The parking brake engages without engaging parking brake switch while parked and also blinks a red warning while driving. We had an issue a few days ago where brake engaged by itself in parking lot (even though parking brake light never came on). I managed to get the car out of park by turning the car on and off several times and also pressing parking brake switch. The car is scheduled for Subaru service on 5 June, they will be able to do more diagnostics after reading error codes. The dealer told me that parking brake should not engage while driving which is my main concern...but I'm also concerned about possibility of being stranded somewhere because I cannot turn off the parking brake.

BRAKES WERE MOMENTARY APPLIED BY SUBURU EYESIGHT BRAKING ASSIST SYSTEM WHILE DRIVING (IN MOTION AT APPROXIMATELY 65 MPH) ON A STRAIGHT PORTION OF AN INTERSTATE HIGHWAY WITH NO OBSTRUCTION APPARENT. THIS HAD ALSO HAPPENED ONE OTHER TIME IN THE SAME VEHICLE SEVERAL MONTHS BEFORE IN SIMILAR CIRCUMSTANCES. ON BOTH INSTANCES THE DRIVER HAD HER FOOT ON THE ACCELERATOR AND THE BRAKES RELEASED AFTER ONLY A SHORT DECELERATION. A QUICK FLASH OF THE BAS WARNING LIGHT WAS ALSO OBSERVED IN THE SECOND INSTANCE. A SECOND PERSON IN THE CAR AT THE TIME ALSO STATES THAT THERE WAS NO OBSTRUCTION SEEN ON THE ROAD AND THE DISTANCE TO ANY CAR AHEAD IN THE SAME LANE SHOULD NOT HAVE CAUSED THE PROBLEM BEING REPORTED. THERE WAS A REAL CONCERN THAT CARS FOLLOWING US ON THIS BUSY HIGHWAY COULD HAVE EASILY CAUSED A REAR-END COLLISION IF THE BRAKES HAD NOT RELEASED QUICKLY. THE DRIVER HAD NEVER TAKEN HER FOOT OFF THE ACCELERATOR AND WAS CAUGHT COMPLETELY BY SURPRISE.

While driving the Parking Brake warning light came on and the Subaru Eyesight system shut down. On stopping the car and restarting, the car got harder to drive. I pulled over again immediately as the parking brake was locking the wheels up. I got a tow truck to take the car to the Subaru dealer. By this time the rear wheels were completely locked up. If the car had to stop at a railroad crossing, the immobile car would be in a dangerous spot. The dealer service shop said there was Code C1411, C1194, C1956, C1942 and "Electronic Parking Brake Connector Failure". This was repaired under Warranty Extension Repair indicating that Subaru knew this was a serious problem but refused to do an emergency recall. Instead they intentionally allowed people to drive a dangerously defective vehicle.

I'VE HAVING BREAK PROBLEMS WITH THIS CAR SINCE I FIRST BOUGHT USED. PRE OWNED CERTIFIED WITH THE DEALERSHIP. I'VE TOOK THE CAR IN A COUPLES SAYING THE BREAKS MAKE LOUD SQUEAKING NOISE AND PULSING EVERY TIME I HIT THE BREAK AND SOMETIMES DOESN'T STOP IMMEDIATELY. 'SCARY SITUATION'. THE SERVICE GUY LOOKS AT IT AND ALWAYS SAYS NOTHING WRONG WITH IT. I TAKE IT BACK AND IT'S REPEAT ALL OVER AGAIN WITH SUPPOSEDLY NOTHING WRONG WITH THE BREAKS. I GAVE UP ON PLANET SUBARU DEALERSHIP AND DECIDED TO CHANGE THE BREAKS MYSELF TO SEE IF THAT CORRECT THE ISSUE. NOPE IT DIDN'T CORRECT THE ISSUE. MY BREAKS ARE STILL PULSING AND MAKING A LOUD SQUEAKING NOISE. I PUT NOISE FREE ON THE BREAKS AND STILL NOT HELPING, WHEN THE BREAKS START TO PULSES, THE BREAK GETS TIGHT AND WON'T STOP IMMEDIATELY. WHILE PULLING MY FATHER-IN-LAWS SUBARU OUTBACK INTO MY GARAGE I PLACE THE VEHICLE INTO DRIVE WHILE APPLYING THE BRAKE. THE CAR IMMEDIATELY ACCELERATED WHILE MY FOOT WAS ON THE BRAKE. THE CAR PROCEEDED INTO GARAGE FIRST HITTING THE SIDE OF THE GARAGE DOOR FRAME AND THEN INTO THE BACK OF MY OTHER CAR WHICH WAS PARKED INSIDE THE GARAGE. I INSTINCTIVELY APPLIED GREATER PRESSURE ON THE BRAKE BUT THIS DID NOT STOP THE CAR. WHEN THE CAR WEDGED AGAINST THE RIGHT SIDE COLUMN OF THE GARAGE I RELEASED THE BRAKE AND REAPPLIED IMMEDIATELY. THIS ACTION CAUSED THE CAR TO DECELERATE TO AN IDLE MODE. I'VE BEEN DRIVING A LONG TIME AND HAVE NEVER EXPERIENCED AN ISSUE LIKE THIS BEFORE. I NOTICED OTHERS HAVE ALSO EXPERIENCED SIMILAR SUDDEN ACCELERATION PROBLEMS AS REPORTED ON THIS SITE. THERE WAS NO FLOOR MAT OBSTRUCTION SO I CAN ONLY CONCLUDE THERE IS A POSSIBLE SOFTWARE ISSUE. *TR

CRUISE CONTROL (CC) CAUSED WHAT I THOUGHT AT THE TIME OF THE INCIDENT WAS UNINTENDED ACCELERATION. OPERATION OF CC IS DIFFERENT FROM ANY CC I USED IN THE PAST. THE CC WAS ALREADY ENGAGED AND I WAS GOING ABOUT 40 MPH ON A HIGHWAY. I DECIDED TO INCREASE MY SPEED, SO I PRESSED THE 'SET +' BUTTON. AFTER A COUPLE OF SECONDS WHEN I REACHED 43 MPH, I RELEASED THE BUTTON. THE CAR CONTINUED TO ACCELERATE TO 70 MPH. LUCKILY THE HIGHWAY WAS EMPTY AND I WAS ABLE TO DISENGAGE THE CC. THE PROBLEM IS THAT THE CC 'SET +' (AND 'SET -') HAS 2 POSITIONS - PUSHING IT HALF WAY INCREASES YOUR SPEED LIKE A TRADITIONAL CC, AND PUSHING IT ALL THE WAY ACTUALLY INCREASES THE SET SPEED OF YOUR CC BY 5 MPH INCREMENTS. HENCE WHEN I THOUGHT I WAS JUST ACCELERATING TO 43 MPH, I WAS ACTUALLY SETTING THE CC SPEED TO 70 MPH. ONE OF THE OPTION PACKAGES WITH THE CAR ADDS THIS 5 MPH INCREMENT 'FEATURE'. THE QUICK REFERENCE GUIDE AND THE REGULAR MANUAL DO NOT MENTION THIS 'FEATURE' - IT IS ONLY MENTIONED IN ONE OF THE AUXILIARY MANUALS FOR THE OPTION PACKAGE. I THINK UNDER DIFFERENT CIRCUMSTANCES THAT THIS INCIDENT COULD HAVE TURNED OUT MUCH WORSE THAN IT DID. THE CC DOES NOT WORK LIKE TRADITIONAL CC, AND THE CONTROLS L

The contact stated that as the failure impaired his visibility of the road, he veered to the side of the road. Upon investigating the failure, the contact discovered a puddle of fluid underneath the driver’s side fender of the vehicle and concluded there was a leak of windshield washer fluid through the windshield washer tubing. The contact manually cleaned the windshield and drove to his residence, where he noticed that the windshield washer tubing was fractured about 6 inches from the point at which it entered the cowl housing located at the base of the windshield. Every time the battery has been drained it happens without explanation, over a dozen times since we’ve owned the car. The Subaru's Starlink Radio has completely delaminated on the layer between the display and the digitizer, which does not allow the radio to be controlled in any way, shape, or form. This means that the touch screen is not working anymore, and because the radio is so delaminated, whenever the car is put into reverse during the daytime, the backup camera is nowhere near visible enough to be seen safely. The radio delaminated to the point where it was unusable after the 100k-mile warranty period. At the start of the issue, the radio developed a ghost touch on the bottom-left corner of the screen, and during a Bluetooth phone call, it would repeatedly hang up the phone, leading to distraction while driving.

The Vehicle was purcashed this year as a Dealer Certified pe-owned vehicle. While leaving the Walmart parkinglot and entering a busy intesection I lost control of the vehicle steering and I her severe knocking sounds against body of vehicle I barley was able to drive vehicle out of traffic. When I tried to exit Vehicle the driver's door would not open. I exited from the passenger door and walked around vehicle and found that my driver side tire was up aginst fender and had pust fender up agains driver door. the tire was at wired angle . When the tow truc arrived the technician removed the tire in order to move vehicle. Once tire was removed it was obvious that there was a catostrophic steering Ball Joint failure. the vehicle was taken to Gwinette Subaru where they denied it being a component failure and treated me as if it was my fault. The car did not collide with anything not have I hit any potholes to cause this failure. Gwinette Subuaru failed to take proper steps to report this component failure, But I am and will be contacting The State of Georgia Pu

I WAS REQUIRED TO REPLACE THE THIRD WHEEL BEARING UNDER WARRANTEE (RIGHT REAR WHEEL) ON MY CAR AT 61359 MILES ON 10OCTOBER2017. THE FIRST BEARING (LEFT REAR WHEEL) WAS REPLACED ON 15JANUARY2016 AND THE SECOND BEARING (LEFT FRONT WHEEL) WAS REPLACED ON 29 JULY AFTER 35270 ELAPSED MILES. DESPITE COMPLAINING TO SUBARU NTN'L HQTRS REQUESTING THAT ALL REMAINING BEARINGS BE REPLACED AFTER THE SECOND BEARING FAILED IT WAS APPARENTLY DECIDED THAT THE REMAINING BEARING BE REPLACED ONLY AFTER FAILING RATHER THAN ACTING PROACTIVELY. MY UNDERSTANDING IS THAT WHEEL BEARINGS SHOULD MORE OR LESS LAST THE LIFE OF THE CAR AND NOT EXPERIENCE THE HIGH FAILURE RATE THAT MY CAR HAS SHOWN. A FRIEND OF MY ALSO OWNS A 2015 OUTBACK AND HAS EXPERIENCED SIMILAR PROBLEMS WITH HIS CAR HAVING TO REPLACE BOTH REAR WHEEL BEARINGS. THERE SHOULD BE A MANUFACTURER'S PRODUCT RECALL ISSUED TO ALL SUBARU OUTBACK OWNERS TO ADDRESS THIS PRODUCT FAILURE AFTER CONSIDERING THE HIGH RATE OF FAILURE FOR THESE BEARINGS EXPERIENCED BY MY FRIEND AND ME. NO ACCIDENT OR INJURIES OCCURRED DURING THESE INSTANCES NOTED FOR BOTH VEHICLES.

Failure on multiple lug nuts due to rust and corroding bolts. The vehicle is mostly garaged, and exposed to the elements only when driven. For a < 68000 mile vehicle, this type of failure is on the higher side. Additionally, the lug nuts break when trying to open using company specific torque. The repair facilities advise me that it is a known Subaru issue. This is a safety hazard in that, if I am stranded due to a flat tire, I will not be able to change my tire.

ALSO SEVERE GLARE ON DRIVER-SIDE MIRROR FROM CAR INTERIOR, MAKES IT HARD TO SEE VEHICLES ON LEFT. THERE IS A CRACK IN THE WINDSHIELD THAT SHOWED UP ABOUT 5 MONTHS AND HAS INCREASED IN SIZE. BEFORE BRINING IT TO THE DEALER (NAPOLEON SUBARU IN SCHAUMBURG, IL), I HAD THE VEHICLE CHECKED BY A LOCAL MECHANIC AND WAS TOLD THE CRACK WAS DUE TO THE FAULTY WINDSHIELD AND NOT BECAUSE OF ANY IMPACT. THERE HAS BEEN NO IMPACT TO THE WINDSHIELD TO MY KNOWLEDGE AND YET THE CRACK APPEARED AND HAS SPREAD. SUBARU DEALER SAID THAT THE CRACK MAY HAVE BEEN CAUSED BY AN IMPACT BUT AGAIN I DON'T RECOLLECT ANY IMPACT THAT COULD CAUSE THIS. THE SUBARU DEALER SAID HE DID HIS PEN POINT CHECK AND THE CRACK WAS NOT CAUSED BY SUBARU'S FAULT. WHAT THE SUBARU DEALER TOLD ME ABOUT THE PEN POINT CHECK MAKES NO SENSE TO ME ESPECIALLY AS THERE HAS BEEN NO IMPACT TO MY WINDSHIELD. I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED THAT SUBARU AND THE DEALER ARE LYING ABOUT THE FAULTY WINDSHIELD AND ARE REFUSING TO REPLACE IT (WHICH I AM ASSUMING IS ALSO A FAULTY OEM PART). I HAVE OWNED SEVERAL CARS BEFORE AND I'VE NEVER HAD THIS ISSUE BEFORE. I REPEAT, NEVER BEFORE ON ANY CAR, ESPECIALLY A NEW CAR. WE HAD THE SAME EXPERIENCE WITH OUR WINDSHIELD THAT OTHERS HAVE HAD -- SEE, EG, COMPLAINT # 10730819. ABOUT TWO WEEKS AFTER BUYING A NEW 2015 OUTBACK, WHILE DRIVING OUT OF OUR SOMEWHAT STEEPLY-ANGLED GARAGE, THE WINDSHIELD CRACKED. I SAW NO EVIDENCE OF A STONE HITTING THE WINDSHIELD AND THOUGHT THERE WAS A STRUCTURAL DEFECT. TOOK THE CAR TO OUR DEALER WHO DID A "PEN TEST" ON THE EXTERIOR OF THE WINDSHIELD. THE PEN TIP, INDEED, CAUGHT IN THE CRACK AND THE REPAIR PERSON SAID THAT INDICATED A ROCK HIT AND WE JUST HAD UNFORTUNATE LUCK. THE CRACK GREW QUICKLY, SNAKING AROUND THE WINDSHIELD, WHILE WE WAITED A FEW WEEKS FOR THE REPLACEMENT WINDSHIELD TO BECOME AVAILABLE VIA SAFELITE. BASED ON THIS AND OTHER COMMENT SITES, I'M CONCERNED ABOUT A REPEAT CRACK. ALSO, OF COURSE, WONDERING IF IT WAS REALLY JUST "BAD LUCK." Our 2015 Subaru Outback occasionally accelerates sharply without the driver's foot being on the gas peddle. It always happens when decelerating and applying the brakes. Suddenly, the engine roars and revs up, all while the driver is depressing the brake pedal, desperately trying to bring the vehicle to a safe stop. In our case, we've always been able to stop without hitting anything, but we've had some near misses. It seems to happen in the winter. The Subaru dealer we purchased the vehicle from denies any knowledge of this particular problem, even though numerous drivers have reported similar incidents.

We called Subaru Roadside Assistance Sunday, July 25, 2021 because the Subaru lost power, as though it were out of gas, but the gage showed we had over an eighth of a tank. We mentioned this to the roadside assistant Rep. several times. She took our cell and credit card #s and said she ordered us a tow truck. I asked if the driver will have a gas can with. She said, "Well do you need a tow or fuel". Again we repeated we didn't know and explained again what happened. She said it would be 60-90 minutes. It was 94 degrees, we had no water, no shade, it was horrible. After 90 minutes still nobody came. We called again to see how much longer it would be. COME TO FIND OUT, THEY DIDN'T SEND ANYONE!!!. They said they didn't know if we needed a toe or fuel, so they didn't send anyone, didn't call, NOTHING. They said it would be another 90 minutes. We told them to forget it, hung up and went to a nearby house and the guy gave us a bottle of water and from a gas can, provided us enough gas to get to the next gas station 11 miles away. #1. I replaced the battery in June of 2022 after all the dash warning lights came on. My eyesight safety feature was rendered in operative. After the battery was replaced, all the warning lights eventually went out. In July of 2023 the same scenario happened again. I returned to Advance Auto retailer and the store manager checked the battery. She replaced the battery with a new one of greater cold cranking amps. she was most knowledgeable and extraordinarily gracious. I asked her to check the alternator for proper function and was told it was functioning as it should. #2. On June 07, 2023, I took the automobile in for service: oil and filter change and brake pads and rotors on all four wheels. My Subaru had 68,482 miles on this date. The technician (who previously was employed by a local Subaru dealership) noticed that the engine was leaking oil and diagnosed the timing cover gasket was leaking oil. Oil leaking would contribute to the bad smells entering the passenger compartment. The gasket and three seals were replaced at a cost of $1329.94 plus 8% tax. THIS CAR HAS A SCREEN IN THE DASHBOARD THAT CONTROLS THE STEREO, PHONE, AND OTHER FUNCTIONS. IT HAS A VERY REFLECTIVE GLASSY FINISH. THE SCREEN IS NOT SURROUNDED BY A HOOD OF ANY SORT AND IT IS TITLED AT ABOUT A 50-DEGREE ANGLE. ON OTHER OCCASIONS, I HAVE NOTICED THAT THIS SCREEN REFLECTS A LOT OF SUNLIGHT, BUT IT WAS MORE OF AN ANNOYANCE THAN ANYTHING. ON THIS OCCASION, I WAS DRIVING THE CAR AT ABOUT 1:30 IN THE AFTERNOON, GOING EAST ON A HIGHWAY. THE DASHBOARD SCREEN WAS REFLECTING THE SUN INTO MY EYES SO DIRECTLY THAT IT WAS PAINFUL. IT WAS ALSO DISTRACTING. THE LIGHT WAS SO BRIGHT AND SO CONSISTENT THAT I HAD TO DRIVE WHILE HOLDING MY RIGHT HAND IN FRONT OF THE SCREEN TO BLOCK THE LIGHT. I HAD TO DRIVE THAT WAY FOR PROBABLY HALF AN HOUR. I DID NOT HAVE ANY SORT OF "ACCIDENT." HOWEVER, I CAN FORESEE THAT UNDER THE WRONG CIRCUMSTANCES, THIS CHARACTERISTIC OF THE CAR COULD BLIND OR DISTRACT A DRIVER FROM SEEING OTHER TRAFFIC, TRAFFIC SIGNALS, ETC. AND CAUSE AN ACCIDENT. IT COULD ALSO CAUSE SOMEONE TO KEEP ONE HAND OFF THE WHEEL AND MAYBE CAUSE AN ACCIDENT THAT WAY. IT IS MY OPINION THAT THIS CHARACTERISTIC OF THE CAR SHOULD BE ADDRESSED. *TR

NHTSA issued a notice for a recall on the 2015 Subaru Outback for an exhaust pipe bellows crack which causes exhaust noise and odor which affects emission and engine performance. I had noticed our Subaru's exhaust smoke coming in through the air vents while idling and also a general loss of power for the vehicle. When I dug into the causes, I came across this recall and did the VIN look up on the NHTSA website and also the Subaru website for active recalls. The Subaru website states that the recall was completed. I then called the subaru retailer to check if there were any records for the recall work that was completed for NHTSA ID Number: 10199936. They could not find any records. I called in Subaru corporate to see if they could shed any light on the recall. Subaru corporate says that the recall work was performed on August 6th, 2020 but is unable to tell me where it was performed or even if it was actually replaced. My local Subaru dealer has no records and Subaru corporate says that the work was performed. I am stuck with an exhaust leak that is potentially dangerous as time goes on where it might fail emissions. Subaru corporate has not wanted to address this or investigate th

While driving at highway speed and traveling over about 6 hours, the car simply shut off. We were traveling on the highway in the passing lane. Without warning the car began to slow down rapidly, no dash lights on, but the engine was off. We managed to cross two lanes of traffic without power assist and once on the shoulder and slowing down, the engine lights all came on. Once fully stopped, we turned the car off, waited a few seconds and restarted. We were then able to complete our trip without difficulty. This has happened twice. The dealer has done full diagnostics twice but has been unable to find the problem. We have heard that other year Subaru outbacks have been recalled for this problem but our year isn't included.

THE VEHICLE IS EQUIPPED WITH THE 3.6R ENGINE AND A CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION. WHEN DESCENDING A LONG HILL IN A FIXED GEAR RATIO (USUALLY 2ND OR 3RD) THE VEHICLE SLOWS NORMALLY UNTIL THE RPM REACHES APPROXIMATELY 1200 RPM AT WHICH POINT THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY BEGINS ACCELERATING UNTIL THE RPM REACHES APPROXIMATELY 2500 RPM AT WHICH POINT THE PROCESS REPEATS. I OBSERVE THE "MPG" SUDDENLY DROP AT THE SAME TIME TO AROUND 25 MPG WHEN THE VEHICLE ACCELERATES. IT RISES BACK TO "99" WHEN IT SLOWS. NOTE THAT DURING THE ENTIRE SEQUENCE MY FOOT IS OFF THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL AND THE THROTTLE ANGLE DISPLAY SHOWS ZERO. I FIND THIS VERY HAZARDOUS AS THE UNINTENDED ACCELERATION CAN OCCUR WHEN ENTERING OR WITHIN A TURN CREATING A CRASH RISK. UPADTE 9/15/15*CW

January 25th, 2026 13:30 I was coming to a stop at an intersection with my foot on the brake pedal when suddenly my vehicle lurched forward potentially causing rear end collision with the truck in front of me that was stopped at the red light. My vehicle finally came to a stop when I pressed hard on the brake pedal. This problem happened today, so I have not reproduced it. I have not had it checked by a dealer (today is Sunday) I have a Low Tire Pressure light that came on two days ago when the temperatures suddenly dropped here in Tulsa, OK.

I DRIOVE OUT OF MY DRIVEWAY ONE BLOCK TO STOP SIGN. ONLY GOING 10 OR SO MPH WHEN I DEPRESSED BRAKE TO STOP AT STOP SIGN . POWER BRAKES DID NOT RESPOND UNTIL PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED HARD TO FLOOR. THEN WHEN STOPPED THE ENGINE REVED UP AND I DID NOT TAKE MY FOOT OFF BRAKE. THE ENGINE SEEMED TO ROAR LIKE IN A VERY LOW GEAR. I CHECKED GEARS AND PUT IT IN NEUTRAL, THEN PARK AND REVERSE, ENGINE STILL ROARING. BUT AS MY FOOT WAS HARD ON BRAKE, IT DID NOT GO INTO FOUR LANE TRAFFIC AHEAD. I TURNED OFF ENGINE WITH KEY AND THE ENGINE REVING STOPPED..WHEN I TURNED THE CAR ON AGAIN THE BRAKES WORKED NORMALLY AND ACCELERATION WAS NORMAL .IT SEEMED TO RESET AND I WAS ABLE TO DRIVE IT TO SUBARU DEALER FOR REPAIRS ALBEIT VERY SLOWLY. I PROBABLY SHOULD HAVE HAD IT TOWED. THERE ARE NO FLOOR MATS IN THE CAR. DRIVER NOT IMPAIRED. THIS OCCURRED AROUND 10 AM ON A CLEAR AUGUST DAY TEMPERATURE AROUND 75 DEGREES .

ON FEBRUARY 25 I WAS DRIVING MY SUBARU ON A CITY STREET AND TRAVELING ABOUT 40 MPH. I NOTICED THAT A TRAFFIC LIGHT AHEAD OF ME WOULD BE TURNING RED SO I TRIED TO SLOW DOWN. THE POWER BRAKES DID NOT WORK AT ALL. NOT ONLY DID THE POWER BRAKES GO OUT BUT THE CAR BEGAN TO ACCELERATE ON IT'S OWN. I LOOKED AROUND FOR OPTIONS AND DECIDED I COULD TURN OFF INTO A PARKING LOT. THE BRAKES (NOT THE POWER BRAKES BUT THE BACK UP SYSTEM BRAKES) GRABBED JUST ENOUGH TO SLOW ME DOWN SO THAT I WAS ABLE TO PULL OFF SAFELY INTO THE PARKING LOT. I DROVE THROUGH THE PARKING LOT TO A PLACE WITH NO CARS AND WAS FINALLY ABLE TO GET THE CAR TO STOP. AS I PUT THE CAR IN PARK THE ENGINE RPMS REVVED UP TO 4000 SO THE CAR ENGINE WAS OBVIOUSLY STILL TRYING TO PROPEL THE CAR. I TURNED OFF THE CAR AND CALLED MY HUSBAND. WHEN HE CAME, HE GOT INTO THE CAR AND CHECKED THINGS LIKE THE CAR MAT POSITION WHICH WAS IN THE CORRECT PLACE. HE STARTED THE CAR AND IT WAS AS IF THE CAR HAD GOT IT'S BRAIN BACK. HE DROVE IT IMMEDIATELY TO THE DEALERSHIP. THE DEALERSHIP COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG BUT DID UPDATE OUR COMPUTER SYSTEM. WE HAVE NOT HAD ANY PROBLEMS SINCE THEN.

WE TOOK DELIVERY OF THIS VEHICLE ON 1/2/2015. IT IS A 2.5 LIMITED MODEL WITH EYESIGHT, NAVIGATION AND KEYLESS IGNITION. ON THE DAY OF DELIVERY, THE ENTIRE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM FAILED AND THE IGNITION DID NOT WORK. THE CAR WAS RETURNED TO THE DEALER WHO CHECKED THE BATTERY AND FOUND NOTHING WRONG. A FEW WEEKS LATER, THE SAME PROBLEM OCCURRED. AFTER FIVE MINUTES, THE PROBLEM RESOLVED ITSELF. THE CAR WAS AGAIN TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHO INDICATED THAT THE PROBLEM HAD BEEN FIXED (LOOSE WIRE/FUSE). TODAY (2/16/2015), THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM PARTIALLY FAILED. WHILE THE IGNITION WORKED AND SOME WARNING LIGHTS ILLUMINATED (INCLUDING THE AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT). THE ENTIRE CENTER PANEL OF CONTROLS (RADIO, NAVIGATION, CLIMATE CONTROL, ETC.) WAS DISABLED. WE ARE CONCERNED BECAUSE THE EYESIGHT SYSTEM CONTROLS BRAKING, ACCELERATION, ETC. THE AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATION IS ALSO A CONCERN. WE HAVE SEEN THAT OTHER SUBARU OWNERS ARE REPORTING SIMILAR CHRONIC ISSUES WITH THEIR NEW SIMILARLY CONFIGURED VEHICLES. *TR

My car horn stopped working. The dealership said the clock spring (steering roll connector) component has failed, confirmed by the resulting complete loss of the horn function. The dealership did not communicate the fact that my drivers airbag would not function properly in an accident. I couldn’t afford the repair at the time, putting my life in danger should an accident occur. Returning to the dealer they still state it is not a covered item, and I need to pay to repair the part so my horn and airbag functions as intended.

There's a problem in a part called (clock spring/roll connector) that is responsible for the horn on steering wheel. It affects almost all Subaru models, like Outback, Forester, Legacy... I've verified it in a mechanic shop, and after all the tests of fuses, horn, and everything. They say the problem is the clock spring, a part that goes after the air bag and costs around $130 plus service ($150 minimum) to change. Then I research on internet and found out it's a very common problem with a lot of videos on YouTube of people having the same issue and a lot of comments there of more people complaining about it that it should have a recall cause it's a security part. I couldn't use my horn when another driver almost hit me, that's how I figured out that my horn died. Those are just some of the videos with this related problem. There's a lot more on YouTube and a lot of posts on Internet forums as well: https://youtu.be/E73ao9zRCUM https://youtu.be/vDxvafmQ6Qg https://youtu.be/plbtVX2WZWw https://youtu.be/YIwl5AmhfQ0 https://youtu.be/ZR5Qq3zufRc

I HAVE A SURGING ISSUE WITH MY 3.6R AFTER COLD STARTS. UPON START-UP, THE IDLE WILL BE ~1800 AND WHEN I PUT THE CAR IN DRIVE, IT WILL DROP TO 800-1000RPM. THEN, AS I SLOWLY PULL INTO THE GARAGE, OR PULL INTO A STOPPED LINE OF TRAFFIC, THE ENGINE WILL SURGE BACK TO THE HIGHER RPM, CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO PUSH THROUGH THE BRAKES. I HAVE HAD THIS RETURN TO HIGH IDLE OCCUR AFTER I HAVE COME TO A COMPLETE STOP, CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO PUSH THROUGH THE APPLIED BRAKES AND REQUIRING ADDITIONAL BRAKE PRESSURE TO STOP THE VEHICLE. I HAVE ALSO HAD IT OCCUR WHEN SLOWLY ROLLING FORWARD. I BELIEVE THIS IS AN UNSAFE SITUATION THAT COULD RESULT IN DAMAGED PROPERTY AND/OR INJURY. I SEE THAT THERE IS AT LEAST ONE ADDITIONAL NHTSA COMPLAINT FOR THIS ISSUE, WHICH SUBARU DEEMED "NORMAL" OPERATION. I DID CONTACT MY DEALER REQUESTING A FIRMWARE UPDATE, IF ONE WAS AVAILABLE, AND THEY SAID THERE WAS NOT ONE. I HAVE OWNED THIS VEHICLE SINCE 3/23/2015 AND THIS ISSUE HAS OCCURRED SINCE NEW, BUT IT MORE COMMON IN COLDER WEATHER. I HAVE 18K MILES ON THE VEHICLE.

THESE WINDSHIELDS RUN ABOUT 500 BUCKS AND SHOULD BE BETTER QUALITY. I ALSO HAVE ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS WHERE MY CAR CLOCK WILL NOT SET... CURRENTLY.
