Record the exact feature and message before cleaning; distinguish blocked/unavailable from a base brake or steering warning.

Locate approved surfaces
Use the owner manual to identify windshield camera viewing areas and external radar, ultrasonic or camera covers.

Clean gently
Remove snow, ice, mud or film using the approved method and a clean soft cloth.

Recheck in good conditions
Restart and observe in clear weather with visible lane markings; do not provoke automatic emergency braking.
